Comprehensive Plan for the Village of Holly
Village of Holly Adopts Comprehensive Plan Written By ENP & Associates
ENP has recently completed a new Comprehensive Plan for the Village of Holly. The Plan (warning: 14MB file) was adopted by the Planning Commission on January 24, 2007. As a part of the planning process, ENP planners facilitated a visioning session where attendees visited "stations" centered around various topics addressed in the plan. Each station included an informational display, a brief written survey, and was staffed by ENP personnel and local officials ready to discuss the issues with attendees. ENP also produced a 3-D buildout analysis of key areas of the Village using Community Viz software, allowing citizens and decision-makers to view the impacts of different land use scenarios.
The result is a Comprehensive Plan focused on maintaining the small-town character of the Village, improving the image of commercial areas, enhancing the quality of existing neighborhoods, and preserving the historic downtown area.
